TEAM NUMBER EIGHT -- DIVISION FOUR
Home night: Thursday.

Gordon Sanders (n/p capt).

Patrick Cox.

Max Huggins.

Kenny Obilaso.

Excellent season for this team, in particular Patrick who finished well up in the averages and did well in a few sorties into Division Two.  A clear third position for the team is absolutely first class.

                             pld     %   PoM

Patrick Cox            57  77.2   8

Max Huggins         51  68.6   4

Kenny Obilaso       30  20.0   1

Rafe Walton           15  13.0   0

Zia Malik                  6   83.3   1

Brajesh Patel         12  50.0    0

Abraham Lam         6   33.3    0

Arnesby II        8    Rhys Emery 3, Dave Wagstaff 3, Dave Small 1, plus dbls Rhys and Dave S.

KP VIII             2    Patrick 1, Max 0, Brajesh 1.

The strength of the Divisional champions was plain to see but Patrick and Brajesh (playing up) really rose to the challenge and deserved the spoils they grabbed.

Patrick took Rhys very close (8 in the fifth) and in the manner that has been typical of him throughout the season, was disappointed that he didn’t get over the line first.

He also overcame Dave Small in 5.

Brajesh, in his first full season, beat Dave S in 4, took Rhys to 4, and lost to Waggy in the fifth, a very good performance across the board.

So there were some positives to come out of the evening, despite the score line.

This match was the culmination of an excellent season and final placing, well done guys!

Gordon

KP VIII    8     Patrick 3, Max 1, Malik 3, plus doubles Pat and Max.

KP VII     2     Chris 0, Simon 1, Martin 1.

Excellent trebles from Patrick and Malik (playing up), both only dropping one game over the three sets. Max and Martin had a real battle for five games, Martin finally coming through 12 – 10 in the decider.

Well done guys!

Gordon
